This study time calculator helps you plan a study block made of focused sessions with short breaks in between. Set how many sessions you want, how long each one lasts, and how long your breaks are, and it tells you the total time the plan will take.
For example, 4 sessions of 50 minutes with 10 minute breaks take 3 hours 50 minutes in total.
How It Works
The calculator multiplies the number of sessions by the focus length to get your total study time, then adds the breaks. There is one fewer break than sessions, because you do not need a break after the final session. The result is the full time from the start of the first session to the end of the last.
Focused Sessions and Breaks
Studying in focused blocks with short rests helps concentration and reduces fatigue. A common pattern is around fifty minutes of focus with a ten minute break, while the well known Pomodoro method uses twenty five minute sprints with five minute breaks. Adjust the numbers to fit how you work best.
